Evangelist Mildred E. Smith was saved in 1947 at the age of eleven. She is the wife of Suffragan Bishop Charles Smith, the mother of five children and the grandmother of eleven and the great-grandmother of seven. In past years, Evangelist Smith has served as Secretary and Assistant Secretary of the Sunday School Dept, President and Vice President of the Missionary Department and Choir Directress. She has also served on the state level as Secretary for the Ohio District Council Minister's Wives Ministers’s Widows Association for seven years and Treasurer for six years. Evangelist Smith is licensed with the Ohio District Council and the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. (PAW) Currently, Evangelist Smith is the First Lady (Elect) of Zion Temple First Pentecostal Church located in Cincinnati, Ohio. She works faithfully with her husband, Suffragan Bishop Charles L. Smith. She is the overseer of the praise dancers which includes Daughters of Zion" and "The Granddaughters of Zion." She is also the advisor of the Zion Temple Christian Women's Auxiliary. Evangelist Smith also supports the Praise Team as needed. She is an active alter worker and prayer intercessor. One of Evangelists Smith's Favorite songs is "Great Is Thy Faithfulness." One of her favorite scriptures is (Psalm 138:7, 8) Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: Thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: Thy mercy, O Lord, endures forever: Forsake not the works of thine hands.
